What is the difference between Form 16 and Form 43 in Queensland?
Historically, trade specialists in Queensland issued a Form 16 for aspect inspections. Under revised Queensland Building Regulation standards, trade aspect certificates issued by appointed competent persons (such as licensed pest applicators) are now submitted on Form 43. It serves the same legal purpose for building certifier approval.

I am extending my patio/living room. Do I need pre-construction termite protection?
Yes. Any new slab pour attached to or abutting an existing home creates a cold joint between the new and old concrete. Termites frequently breach homes through this joint.
